Since the late 1970's Boone Bike & Touring, has been "Boone's Original Bike Shop" and is
locally owned & operated by Appalachian State Alumni "Go, Mountaineers!"
In 2004, Shaw Brown took the leap of ownership with around 15 years of bike shop experience already under his belt. Not long after, his wife Sarah Brown, left her middle school classroom to join him full time. They are fortunate to have Service Manager, Sam Hutchens, aka the best bicycle mechanic around these parts, on board the entire time! His dedication to making bicycles perform at their best is appreciated by everyone & keeps customer's coming back year after year.
This hardworking crew is passionate, knowledgeable & honored to have been Boone's Small Business of the Year in 2014! We're grateful to continue to earn the Watauga Democrat's 'BEST OF THE BEST Bicycle Shop' ranking for six years in a row. Thank you for your votes!
