6 Hours of Warrior Creek

Some of the toughest local mountain bike trails await you! The Brushy Mountain Cyclists Club presents this annual mountain bike endurance race.  Online Registration opens in January & usually fills up quick so don't miss out!

High Country Kids' Triathlon

Finally, an opportunity for kids to shine! Bring the swimsuit, the bike, and the running shoes and join in on the FUN!  Multiple age categories with varying distances: 8 & Under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15!

The Assult on Mount Mitchell

The Assult on Mount Mitchell is a classic that shouldn't be missed! This 102.7 mile ride provides an opportunity to 10 rest stops along the course for you to refill, refuel, and make mechanical adjustments as you tackle the 10,357 feet of climbing it'll take you to reach the top. Note: this event takes place on MONDAY!

Blood, Sweat, and Gears

A demanding route, which showcases the mountain communities of Watauga County, North Carolina, requires over 9,000 feet of total climbing. Highlights of the route include a 21-mile section of the Blue Ridge Parkway, a strenuous climb over the 4,500-foot gap at Snake Mountain, and a 10-mile "flat" on old US 421. Online Registration fills up quick so don't miss out!

Boone Gran Fondo

This isn't your typical cycling event.  A Gran Fondo is a unique cycling challenge- both a personal challenge and a serious competition. Timing chips allow riders to compete for fasteset time during designated sections of the course, then they enjoy the scenery during the rest of the event.  Why not give the Boone race a try?! You might get hooked and compete in the entire Gran Fondo Series!

The Blue Ridge Brutal

Choose your poison and participate in either the 102, 72, or 56 mile option.  This fully supported ride rolls through the lesser known beautiful Blue Ridge mountains in Ashe County.

The Cowbelle Classic Women's Bicycle Ride

Which distance works for you? Pick from a 15-mile, 35-mile, or 65-mile route!  The Cowbelle Classic is a women's only cycling event hosted by the Boone Area Cyclists club.  Women of all abiliites are inbited to ride in a non-competitive social environment on the beautiful country roads of Sugar Grove, NC.  By providing mentoring for new riders, we are expanding the community of women cyclists in our region.

Cycle North Carolina "Mountains to the Coast"

The Cycle North Carolina "Mountains to the Coast" ride is a great opportunity to see our state from the best vantage point.  Routes vary every fall, visit their website to see this year's unique ride plan!
