| The newest and toughest local mountain bike trails await you Saturday, April 3rd, 2010 as the Brushy Mountain Cyclists Club presents this second annual mountain bike endurance race. |
| Boone Roubaix |
| The 1st Annual Boone Roubaix on Saturday, April 3rd, 2010 is not for the faint at heart. As a benefit for Wine To Water's Haiti Emergency Fund, this race was created in the likeness of the Paris-Roubaix, an extremely difficult European road race known for pushing the limits of both bicycle and rider over cobblestone paths and nasty weather conditions. Riders are warned to expect flat tires, potholes, and unpredictable weather. |
| THE, Historic North Wilkesboro Speedway, NWS CRIT SERIES |
| Come race the oval made famous by Benny Parsons and Junior Johnson! 5/8 mile loop, pavement is in excellent condition. Three races a night. Alternating Wednesdays April 7th to August 25th, 2010. |
| Ride Around Wilkes (RAW) |
| Grueling climbs, thrilling descents and beautiful back roads await as the Brushy Mountain Cyclists Club presents the 17th Annual Rides Around Wilkes (RAW) road cycling event, on Saturday, May 1st, 2010. |
| Cycle to Serve Challenge 2010 |
| The 4th Annual Cycle to Serve Challenge will take place in Lenoir, NC on Saturday, May 8th 2010. Participate in either the 40 mile or 62 mile route, both rides providing an organized scenic ride though the foothills of rural Caldwell County. |
| High Country Tour Du Life |
| This first annual event is a benefit for the Seby B. Jones Regional Cancer Center. Three Days of Racing on the legendary roads that Lance Armstrong calls "the best area for training in the whole US." Starting with the Beech Mountain Time Trial 5/14, Boone Road Race 5/15, Newland Criteriums 5/16. |
| 10th Annual Burn 24 Hour Challenge Mtn Bike Endurance Relay Race |
| People of all skill levels will enjoy the BURN Challenge events because of the great atmosphere, excellent riding and team camaraderie. Plus, with the Team Strategy prizes, you don't have to be a front-runner to be in the prize pool! Saturday, May 29th and Sunday, May 30th 2010 at Dark Mountain in North Wilkesboro. |
| Dirty Bird Race Productions |
| If shredding single track at top speeds down steep terrain is your thing...then the Dirty Bird 2010 Race Schedule will give you plenty of opportunities to show off your skills! Race 1- Sat 6/5 & Sun 6/6, Race 2- Sat 8/21 & Sun 8/22, and Hawk-O-Ween- Sat 10/30 & Sun 10/31. |
| Blood, Sweat, and Gears |
| A demanding route, which showcases the mountain communities of Watauga County, North Carolina, requires over 9,000 feet of total climbing. Highlights of the route include a 21-mile section of the Blue Ridge Parkway, a strenuous climb over the 4,500-foot gap at Snake Mountain, and a 10-mile "flat" on old US 421. This year marks the 12th Annual on Saturday, June 26th, 2010. |
| The Grizzly- 65 & 30 Mile Ride Options |
| On Friday, July 9th, 2010 both you and your bike should be in great shape to participate in the 4th Annual Grizzly Metric Century. This year there will be two options the 65 mile and the 30 mile. The 65 Mile Grizzly is a beautiful and challenging route with 7000 feet of climbing in 65 miles, including 2 miles of dirt road up the backside of Beech Mountain. The 30 mile ride will begin at the same time as the Grizzly ride in Linville, NC and end on the track at Grandfather Mountain. The 30 mile ride is a shorter version of the Grizzly without the Beach Mountain Climb but a beautiful and challenging route that includes the Blue Ridge Parkway. |
| The Bridge to Bridge - 22nd Riding |
| On Sunday, September 19th, 2010, test your abilities with this grueling course which starts at the Lenoir mall and ends at the top of Grandfather Mountain. |
| Cycle North Carolina "Mountains to the Coast" |
| The 2010 Cycle North Carolina "Mountains to the Coast" ride will be held Saturday, September 25th (check-in) to Saturday, October 2nd, 2010. |
| The Watauga Lake Triathlon |
| The 6th Annual Watauga Lake Triathlon will take place in Butler, TN on Saturday, October 2nd at 9am. The event includes a 1000 meter swim in a prestine lake, 35 kilometer hilly bike ride, and a challenging 8 kilometer run. |
| Dark Mountain Challenge Triathlon & Duathlon |
| WOW! A triathlon with no swimming?!? This off road event consists of a three-mile lake paddle, a four-mile run, and ends with an awesome fourteen-mile mountain bike single-track race alongside the lake. The duathlon is a wild, technical and hilly single-track race. There will be two seven-mile loops at the Kerr Scott Dam and Lake area. This 4th Annual Challenge date T.B.A. |
| Hawksnest Crossfest 2010 |
